How do I log in?
Each chama has its own address. Use Log in / Register at the top of this page, type your chama's name and we'll take you there.
I forgot my password.
On your chama's login page, tap Forgot your password. We email you a link to set a new one. No email on file? Your Secretary can send you a link.
Where do I pay this month?
Your chama's Treasurer chooses each month. You get an email on the 1st saying where, and a reminder on the due day if you haven't paid. It's also at the top of the payment form.
How do I make a contribution?
Pay your chama's M-Pesa or bank the way you always do. Then tap Make a contribution, upload the M-Pesa message or receipt and tick the months it covers.
What counts as a receipt?
A screenshot, photo or PDF of the payment. Your M-Pesa message or your bank's SMS is fine. Keep it clear enough for the Treasurer to read.
When does my contribution show?
It shows as waiting as soon as you send it, and counts towards your total once the Treasurer confirms it. If it's sent back, you'll see why and can send it again.
I sent the wrong receipt.
While it's still waiting, open Contributions, tap Withdraw and send it again.
Does GroupFund hold our money?
No. Members pay into your chama's own account. We only keep the record.
Who can see my contributions?
You can, and the officials whose job needs it. Other members don't see your details.
Can we bring our old records?
Yes. Upload your spreadsheet and we match the names for your officials to confirm. Nothing changes until they say so, and an upload can be undone.
Can we use our own constitution?
Yes. Upload it and the posts and rules are picked out, each beside the sentence it came from, for your officials to confirm.
Does it work with my bank?
Yes, any bank. You pay as usual and upload your receipt.
Will it work on my phone and on slow data?
Yes. It's built for a small screen and a slow line, and you can add it to your home screen without an app store.
Does it work outside Nairobi?
Yes, in all 47 counties. All you need is a phone and a little data.
Can we use Swahili?
A member's first screen can be in Kiswahili or English, and your officials can set the greeting in your own language. The other pages are in English for now.
